La naturaleza esencial de Marcela Vicuña

Marcela Vicuña es una artista visual que ha explorado diversos medios para representar la naturaleza. Pintura, grabado, escultura y otras especialidades son algunos de los diversos lenguajes con los que la realizadora se ha aproximado al tema. Sus inicios en la pintura se basaron en grandes obras de carácter figurativo; la maduración personal y artística de Vicuña la terminó por inclinar hacia lo abstracto y esencial.

En su última serie fotográfica en blanco y negro, Árboles, Marcela Vicuña explora el misterio y la trascendencia encerrada en los árboles, manifestaciones vivientes de la naturaleza. “Elegí el tema de los árboles porque vivo, y siempre he vivido, en contacto directo con la naturaleza y siempre me han atraído”, asegura la artista, para quien el placer de la tranquilidad es una inspiración constante en su obra.
