Una cifra inédita. 1.103.211 de visitantes en 2015 pasearon por los pasillos del Museo Guggenheim de Bilbao, convirtiéndose en la segunda cifra de visitantes más altas de toda su historia.
Así, esta pinacoteca además, supera por séptima vez la barrera del millón de visitantes y crece en cantidad respecto del año anterior en un 9% de cantidad de público.
¿Quiénes atrajeron tantos visitantes? En primer lugar, Jean-Michel Basquiat con Ahora es el momento recibió 538.475 visitantes. Le sigue de cerca Jeff Koons y su Retrospectiva con 493.730 personas y por último, Niki de Saint Phalle con 290.849 personas.
La distribución de visitantes conserva una conserva a la alta afluencia de extranjeros consiguiendo un 63% del total. Por otra parte, los oriundos del lugar alcanzan un 14% del país Vasco y 23% de España en su totalidad.
