Protegerlo y acomodar el marco para así evitar desperfectos y roturas es elemental si deseamos llegue de una pieza a su lugar de destino.
Al momento de envolver las obras no sólo debes preocuparte de que el lienzo sufra golpes y deterioros concretos, sino que también debes pensar en cómo afectan los cambios de temperatura violentos o húmedos que puede sufrir en el viaje.Ya sea enviando los cuadros por correo o llevándolos en tú propio vehículo, aquí encontrarás recomendaciones para cuidar tus obras de arte de la manera más viable.
¿Qué material utilizar para proteger tu obra?
Debes considerar que trasladar obras de arte es un quehacer delicado. Primero que todo se deben mencionar materiales de los que nos podemos servir.
Existen cuatro embalajes definidos:
• Plástico con burbujas: papel especial que evita que el lienzo embalado transpire y sufra daños físicos.
• Caja de cartón: ayuda a proteger la obra de arte (previamente protegida por las burbujas de plástico).
• Jaula de madera: en ella se fija la pieza. Para mayor protección se recubre con láminas de goma espuma.
• Caja de madera: utilizada en las mudanzas profesionales y aquellas relacionadas con museos y exposiciones. Es la opción más segura, y se recomienda añadirle manillas de agarre para poder mover la caja de madera sin contratiempos.
Para evitar infortunios y malos acontecimientos, si estás transportando por ti mismo, deberías proteger fijo y sujeto el lienzo dentro del propio vehículo. Conjuntamente, si tienes la oportunidad de disponer más de un material de embalaje de los que hemos citado en la lista, mucho mejor.

- Bubble Wrap: a special plastic for packed canvas that avoids transpiration and physic harm.
- Cardboard Boxes: they help to protect the artwork previously protected by bubble wrap.
- Wooden cages: in it, the artwork is attached. For more protection, the artwork is covered with foam rubber.
- Wooden Boxes: used for professional moves and the ones related to museums and exhibitions. It’s the safer choice, and it’s recommended to add handle grips to move rapidly the wooden box.
To avoid misfortunes and bad events, if you’re carrying by your own, you should keep the canvas fixed and secured inside the vehicle. Jointly, if you have the chance of getting more than one of the mentioned materials, it’s much better.
