Hasta el domingo 25 de septiembre los artistas podrán postular por un cupo en el Festival de Artes Inclusivo “Mundo Incluye”. El evento, a organizarse durante noviembre en el Campus el Claustro de la Universidad Mayor, invita a los grupos artísticos de las áreas del teatro, danza, música y artes visuales a presentar proyectos que fomenten la inclusión entre los ciudadanos.
“La idea central de nuestro trabajo es buscar alternativas de inclusión a través del arte y la educación, por esa razón hemos trabajado hace más de cuatro años realizando talleres y diferentes actividades para fomentar la inclusión de hombres y mujeres con capacidades diferentes” aseguró el actor Cristóbal Guzmán Mella, coautor de este proyecto junto a la actriz Mariane Catoia Fonseca.
La primera edición del certamen, realizada en 2015, tuvo un gran éxito. Ahí se expusieron cuatro obras compuestas por personas con síndrome de Down o capacidades diferentes. También se expusieron diversas charlas que abordaron la problemática de la exclusión en Chile.
La organización estará a cargo de la Fundación Manantial de Ilusión, con la ayuda de la Escuela de Teatro de la Universidad Mayor, y patrocinado por el Centro del Síndrome de Down de la Universidad Católica. Up until September Sunday 25th, the artists will be able to apply to be part of the Inclusive Festival of Arts “Mundo Incluye”. The event, to be organized on November on the Claustro Campus of the Mayor University, invites the artistic groups from Drama, dance, music and visual arts to present projects to promote the citizen’s inclusion.
“The main idea of our work is to search for inclusion alternatives through the art and education, this is why we have been working on this project for over four years, creating workshops and different activities to promote the inclusion of men and women with different capacities” explained the actor Cristobal Guzman Mella, co-author of this project together with the actress Mariane Catoia Fonseca.
The first edition of the contest, launched on 2005, has a huge success. There were four works exhibited created by people with Down syndrome or different mental capacities. There also presented different lectures in relation to the inclusion’s predicament in Chile.
The organization will be in charge of the Manantial de Ilusión Foundation, with the help of the School of Drama of the Mayor University and sponsored by the Down Syndrome Center of the Catolica University.
