Hasta el 16 de septiembre en la Galería Joan Prats de Barcelona se llevará a cabo la exposición “Habitar el vacío”, muestra que reúne a Raúl Zurita, Alfredo Jaar, Fernando Prats e Iván Navarro, cuatro creadores destacados de la escena artística chilena.
A través de diversos soportes, tales como la literatura, las instalaciones y otros dispositivos, los chilenos exploran las tragedias humanas que afligen al mundo desde una perspectiva artística. El nombre de la exposición surge como una necesidad de abordar estos conflictos –generalmente ignorados por la sociedad- a partir de la sensibilidad.
Raúl Zurita, Premio Nacional de Literatura en 2000, es uno de los poetas chilenos vivos más importantes del país. Su poética abarca la producción literaria, las intervenciones y las performances, medios con lo que tocó temas de gran sensibilidad en los 80. Actualmente se desempeña como docente en la Universidad Diego Portales y Harvard.
Alfredo Jaar, Premio Nacional de Arte 2013, es un artista multidisciplinario radicado en Nueva York desde 1982. Su corpus abarca el cine, la arquitectura y las instalaciones. La manera interpelativa con que aborda las problemáticas sociales le ha hecho merecedor de un renombre internacional. Ha representado a Chile en la Bienal de Venecia, evento del que ha participado en reiteradas ocasiones.
Fernando Prats es otro artista poseedor de un lenguaje visual que explora diversos medios, tales como la fotografía, la escritura y el diseño gráfico. Su dilatada trayectoria lo llevó a radicarse en Barcelona en 1990. Ha participado en importantes bienales en el mundo, tales como la de Venecia y la de Canarias.
Iván Navarro, artista que vive en Nueva York, ha representado a Chile en la Bienal de Venecia. Su trabajo con luces e instalaciones le ha permitido exponer en diversas ferias del mundo. La obra de Navarro tiene como uno de sus objetivos hacer reflexionar al espectador.

Through diverse medias, such as literature, facilities and other devices, Chileans explore human tragedies that cause pain in the world from an artistic perspective. The name of the exhibition emerges as a need to deal with this conflict, generally ignored by the society, from the sensitivity.
Raúl Zurita, National Prize for Literature in 2000 is one of the most important Chilean alive poets of the country. His poetic covers the literary production, intervention and performance with which talked about highly sensitive subjects in the 80’s. Actually, he works as teacher in Diego Portales University and Harvard University.
Alfredo Jaar, National Prize of Art in 2003 is a multidisciplinary artist settled in New York since 1982. His corpus includes cinema, architecture and facilities. The way that he deals with the social problems has earned him an international fame. He has presented Chile in the Venice Biennale, events that he has participated in numerous occasions.
Fernando Prats is other artist owner of a visual language that explores diverse subjects, such as photography, writing and graphic design. His extensive writing took him Barcelona in 1990. He has participated in important Biennale of the world, such as Venice Biennale and the Canary Island Biennale.
Iván Navarro, artist who lives in New York has represented Chile in the Venice Biennale. His work with lights and facilities has permitted him exhibit in diverse exhibitions of the world. The Navarro’s work has as one of these objectives to do reflects to the observer.{:}
