En el marco del quinto centenario de la muerte del Bosco, el Museo del Prado, en conjunto a la Fundación BBVA, organizó una gran exposición que gira en torno a la obra del pintor holandés.
La muestra permanecerá abierta hasta el 11 de septiembre de este año y se basa en ocho pinturas de Bosch. Las pinturas fueron algunas de las más importantes del Renacimiento, y hasta el día de hoy dejan sentir su influencia en el mundo del arte.
Obras como El jardín de las delicias, la Adoración de los magos y el Carro de heno –conservadas en España gracias al entusiasmo que sentía el rey Felipe II por Bosch–, serán algunas de las creaciones expuestas.
La exhibición se estructura en torno a seis grandes secciones: Infancia y vida pública de Cristo, Los santos, Del Paraíso al Infierno, El jardín de las delicias, El mundo y el hombre: Pecados Capitales y obras profanas, y La Pasión de Cristo.
Los trípticos serán exhibidos de tal manera que los visitantes puedan apreciarlos frontalmente o desde su reverso. Los curadores tienen como objetivo que el público se sumerja en la vida y obra del pintor.
No solo serán expuestas las composiciones del Bosco; también se podrán apreciar trabajos de autores como Adrien van Wesel y Alart du Hameel, además del manuscrito de Felipe de Guevara, que profundiza en importancia del pintor flamenco.

As part of the fifth centenary of the death of Hieronymus Bosch, the Del Prado National Museum together with the BBVA foundation organized a big exhibition that goes around the work of the Dutch painter.
The exhibition will remain open until September 11 of the present year and is based on eight paintings of Bosch. The paintings were some of the most important pieces of the Renaissance, and up to now they allow to perceive their influence in the world of the art.
Pieces as The Garden of Earthly Delights, Adoration of the Magi, and The Haywain, preserved in Spain thank to the excitement felted by the king Philip II for the Bosch, will be some of the pieces of the exhibition.
The exhibition is structured around six big sections: Adoration of the Magi, The Temptation of St. Anthony, the Triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights, The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things, and the Passion Triptych.
The triptychs will be exhibit in a way that the audience can observed them directly or from their reverse. The main goal of the curators is for the public to immerse in the life and work of the painter.
Not only will be exhibited the compositions of the Bosch, but also the works of artists such as Adrien van Wesel and Alart du Hameel, also from the manuscript of Felipe de Guevara, who goes deep into the importance of the flamenco artist.
