Nada más ni nada menos que con 424 millones de dólares en el bolsillo, sólo en su primer fin de semana, la película Batman v Superman: El amanecer de la Justicia ha hecho noticia en el mundo entero. Quizá no tanto por la calidad de la película ni porque sea muy superior a las secuelas anteriores de ambos super héroes, sino porque son los míticos Batman y Superman compartiendo escenas, dentro de un mismo film, en un mismo tiempo.
Pese a que el descenso en la segunda semana de cartelera fue totalmente considerable, recorriendo un flujo de caída de un 68%, la recaudación mundial y el interés que suscita no convoca sólo al mundo audiovisual o al asistente que frecuenta los cines y la pantalla grande.

El arte los ha seguido toda la vida también y con razón. La influencia de estas caricaturas, inicialmente originadas por cómic han explotado sus representaciones en el mundo entero. Bob Kane y Bill Finger por su parte con Batman y el artista Joe Shuster, desde la década del 30, han simplemente revolucionado la idea del súper héroe, la ficción y la ambición delser humano de construir con sus propias manos, un hombre que supere las limitaciones que la raza y el género tiene naturalmente.
Así llegamos a artistas que siguieron la representación que nació de lápiz y papel, con acuarela, acrílico, pinturas varias y en diferentes técnicas. Casi siempre muy ligadas al pop art por la connotación que los mismos personajes llevan intrínsecamente, las manifestaciones son múltiples y aún más ahora que los vemos combatiendo el mal juntos.
La investigación fue inicialmente pictórica. Buscar pinturas en las que se representara a ambos personajes. No afiches, ni nada tan digital, sino un guiño a las técnicas del pasado, sin embargo lo conseguido, nos condujo incluso al video de proceso de un trabajo artístico, mira:
