Buenas noticias para el mundo del arte en nuestro país, la chilena expondrá en uno de los museos más importantes de Buenos Aires, mismo lugar que estará Yoko Ono inaugurando.
El Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires estrenará este año la obra en la que está trabajando la artista, en el marco de los 15 años del museo transandino. La idea de éste es que sea una colección unida, que se mantenga y potencie. En Julio será el turno de la chilena, que presentará junto con dos artistas latinoamericanos en la Sala 1, dedicada al arte contemporáneo más experimental.
La carrera artística de Voluspa Jarpa tiene como referente una rigurosa investigación teórica y conceptual sobre la pintura y las técnicas de representación. Responde a su preferencia por los formatos grandes, aventarse de la pintura tradicional con fines comerciales y de decoración, para así crear y representar con más libertad y creatividad su obra.
No por nada la Rancagüina y artista visual de la Universidad de Chile ya es conocida en el mundo audiovisual internacional, es de la generación de artistas de los noventa y ha sido galardonada con premios como el Illy Sustain Art (2012) Premio Círculo de Críticos de Arte de Chile, categoría artes visuales (2008) Gran Premio Kunst Rai-Amsterdam, Holanda (2000) entre otros. Ha expuesto en diferentes galerías, Museo de Bellas Artes, como también en regiones y en países como Holanda y España.
Finalmente será la chilena inicial de una muestra particular en el MALBA. Además, durante este periodo habrán tres exposiciones que son, una de arte argentino, otra latinoamericano y además una internacional, en las que encontraremos a Jorge Macchi en marzo, Yoko Ono en Junio (un dato no menor es que ella misma va para la inauguración) y la Colección Fadel en Noviembre, la serie privada más grande de Brasil. Todos artistas que abrirán la excelente temporada 2016, con una de las mayores exposiciones que se presentará en Argentina.

The Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires (MALBA for its acronyms in Spanish) will unveil this year the artist’s works due to the museum 15th anniversary. The idea is displaying a united collection that prevails and strengthens over time. In July, the Chilean, dedicated to the most experimental contemporary art, will exhibit, along with two Latin-American artists, in Sala 1.
The Voluspa Jarpa’s artistic career has as a model a strict theoretical conceptual investigation concerning painting and representation technics. It responds to her preference to large formats that goes beyond commercial decorative traditional painting. That is how she creates and represents more creative and free artworks.
It is not a surprise that this artist from Rancagua and visual artist of the University of Chile is known in the international audiovisual community. She is from de 90’s and was awarded with the illy SustainArt Prize (2012), Critics Circle Award, visual arts category (2008), KunstRAI-Amsterdam prize, Netherland (2000), among others. She has exposed in different galleries, in the Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts, in regions, and countries like the Netherland and Spain.
Finally she will be the Chilean that will start a particular exhibition in MALBA. Furthermore, along this period, there will be three exhibitions: the first one contains Argentinian art; the second one, Latin-American art; and the third one, an international exhibition, where we could meet Jorge Macchi in March, Yoko Ono in June (It is important to mention that she herself will go to the opening), and Fadel Collection in November, the Brazilian biggest private series. All these artists will open the excellent 2016 season with the biggest exhibitions in Argentina.
