Joven, colombiano y con una carrera curatorial impecable. Su indudable profesionalismo y la prolijidad con la que ha desempeñado, le llevó al centro de arte inglés desempeñando labores de co-curador de la exposición «Crónica de intervenciones» en 2014. Luego viajó a TEOR/éTica, Costa Rica, donde fue director artístico.
Así se la lleva, el joven curador de 33 años, quien ocupará el puesto de José Roca como curador adjunto de Arte Latinoamericano a partir del 4 de enero y durante 3 años. Luego de estudiar Historia y Teoría del Arte y Arquitectura en la Universidad de Los Andes en Colombia y en la Universidad de São Paulo en Brasil, completó el Programa Curatorial del De Appel arts centre en Ámsterdam (Holanda).
«Me siento honrado de haber sido seleccionado para ocupar este puesto, anteriormente en manos de colegas y curadores a quienes tengo en gran estima. Espero trabajar estrechamente con el Comité de Adquisiciones de América Latina (LAAC) en la ampliación del espectro y la comprensión del Tate acerca del ‘arte latinoamericano’, y en el enriquecimiento de la colección. Desde principios de los años dos mil Tate ha sido pionera en las políticas de adquisición de arte contemporáneo fuera de los cánones del arte occidental, contribuyendo a la creación de un nuevo modo de la práctica en las instituciones internacionales».

Young, Colombian and a man who has an impeccable curatorial career. His undoubted professionalism and thoroughness in hias work, took him to the center of English art play as co -curator of the exhibition «Chronicle of interventions » in 2014. Then went to TEOR / ethics, Costa Rica, where he was artistic director.
He just is, a young curator of 33, who will take the place of José Roca as associate curator of Latin American Art from January 4 and for 3 years. After studying History and Theory of Art and Architecture at the University of Los Andes in Colombia and the University of São Paulo in Brazil, he completed the Curatorial Programme at De Appel arts center in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
