The Pangue Festival promotes a deep reflection on our connection with the environment and the environmental challenges we face. Through this initiative, we aim to create a space where artists can showcase their works, fostering dialogue and collaboration at the intersection of art, technology, science, and nature.
This traveling exhibition will begin its journey in Panquehue and will travel to different countries around the world.
The name “Pangue” comes from a native flower found in the Valparaíso region, commonly seen in Panquehue. In the Mapudungun language, “panque” represents the puma, symbolizing values such as bravery, wisdom, strength, and energy. This symbolism is fundamental to the festival, as it highlights the ability of people to exchange strength and energy with nature, emphasizing the healing power of the environment and the importance of rebuilding our connection with the planet.
The festival consists of two sections: the first, curated by Marisa Caichiolo, presents a selection of videos from the Arte Al Límite collection; the second section includes works selected from an open call to artists from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
