Time-lapse audiovisual pieces showing the passage of time through melting ice.
Frozen water starts to melting slowly, evaporating the notions of affection and science. Both are seemingly opposed, but constitute necessary concepts in our current world. These phrases are linked to oral tradition, where words are only fleeting, disappearing or materializing in just a moment.
These pieces are part of a series of words carved in ice: Laugh, I Feel It, Ethics, Private Water, Witnesses, Resistance, Life, Affection, and Science, which were recorded through audiovisual means by Daniel Reyes León in different places including Valencia (Spain), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Linares (Chile) aiming to spark reflections on the words themselves, actions and water as a public resource and vital element for humanity.
