“El arte es algo inherente que desde siempre me ha acompañado”, asegura Michelin Basso. La artista visual chilena comenzó el desarrollo de su lenguaje visual incursionando en la pintura. En España se especializó en Dibujo, disciplina que maneja y perfecciona hasta el día de hoy. Fue ahí donde Basso profundizó en diversos períodos y movimientos artísticos, lo que reafirmó su estilo.
El trabajo teórico se une al práctico a la hora de crear; las influencias orientales se manifiestan en las figuras surgidas de la naturaleza que bajo una paleta monocroma sugieren la esencia que emana el bosque y su vegetación. La neblina, las hojas y las nubes, actores de un corpus artístico que representa los paisajes que dan forma orgánica al mundo.
{:}{:en}“Art is something inherent that has always been with me”, explains Michelin Basso. The Chilean visual artist started the development of her visual language making an incursion in painting. In Spain, she specialized in Drawing, a discipline that she manages and masters up until today. It was there where Basso got deep into different periods and artistic movements, what reaffirmed her style.
The theoretical work joins with the practical at the time of creating a piece of art; the eastern influences manifest in the figures emerged from nature which under a monochromatic palette suggest the essence that the woods and vegetation emanate. The mist, the leaves and clouds, actors of an artistic corpus that represents the characters that conform the organic shape of the world.
