La artista peruana Maya Watanabe, exhibirá su video instalación El Péndulo en el Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos de Santiago. La atención se centra en el vínculo entre las tres religiones monoteístas con más devotos: el cristianismo, el judaísmo y el Islam.
En tres pantallas se verán extractos de la Torá, el Nuevo Testamento y el Corán, los cuales son enunciados por tres actores diferentes, en sus idiomas originales hebreo, griego y árabe.
El guión se centra en las similitudes de los textos, la búsqueda de puntos en común, palabras o nombres, que emana de la polifonía a sonar al unísono. Además, el texto se acompaña con rítmica tradicional de cada culto, lo que permite puede escuchar las canciones de la Tora, cantos gregorianos y Tilawats del Corán. En este proceso actores y voces se mueven a través de las pantallas y fundirse en un todo.
Durante los 15 minutos del video, se unen todas las voces y religiones, incitando las reflexiones sobre la individualidad o nuestros actos como un gran colectivo, o bien, cómo podemos ser ambas cosas a la vez. De esta forma los videos demuestran cómo a pesar de las diferencias, las tres religiones se acercan entre ellas y emergen exactamente de la misma manera.
La artista, conocida por sus excepcionales instalaciones en vídeo, ya ha mostrado sus obras en varios países, como España, Argentina, Francia y Perú. La exposición, que se mostró previamente en Madrid en el Centro de Creación Contemporánea Matadero, actualmente se puede visitar en el tercer piso del museo en Santiago, desde el 28 de abril hasta el 3 de julio 2016.{:}{:en}The Peruvian artist Maya Watanabe will exhibit her video installation El Péndulo in the Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos in Santiago. In three screen will see extracts of the Torah, New Testament and Koran which are presented by three different actors, in their original language: Hebrew, Greek and Arabic.
The script is focused in the similarity of text, search of common point, words or names that comes of polyphony to sound unison. Also the text is accompany with traditional rhythmic of each worship, which allow listen the songs of the Torah, Gregorian chants and Tilawat of Koran. In this process actors and voices moved through the screen and are merged in an all.
During the 15 minutes of video, all voices and religions are joined, inciting reflections about individuality or ours acts as a big group or as we can be both things at the same time. In this way videos show how despite the differences, three religions are close among them and emerge exactly of the same way.
The artist known by her exceptional installations in video has already show her works in many countries such as Spain, Argentina, France and Peru. The exhibition showed before in Madrid in Centro de Creación Contemporánea Matadero, actually is possible to visit it in the third floor of museum in Santiago from April 28th to July 3rd 2016.
