This piece is part of the artwork in Iris Helena’s portfolio that seeks to depict cities and metropolitan life. By printing typical urban life scenes on post-its, she takes on a unique approach to materials and technique.
Through collage, she manages to work with trivial and common objects to draw viewers’ attention with small or, in this case, large-scale artwork. Her pieces can also be interpreted as metaphors for ruins, due to the fragmented manner in which she showcases reality.
