Cuba 1972. He studied art at the Félix Varela University in Cuba. Later, he completed a master’s degree in bronze sculpture under the direction of the sculptor Joseph Castell, as well as in iron and resin at the Ros Mari art atelier in Valencia, Spain.
He has participated in international exhibitions such as Bienal del Sur in Panama, III Bienal del Fin del Mundo, Argentina, the 18th Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Toronto, Canada, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami.
He has received awards such as first prize at the National Gallery of Plastic Arts, Cuba, and the Sculpture Key West Prize, Florida, USA, in 2006.
The immersive installation Be Water presents a visual narrative that delves into the multifaceted dimensions of water in nature and human life. Antuan’s creation of the Human Net, a geometric human structure visible in each sculpture, symbolizes the symmetry of the universe, elemental purity, and omnipresent wisdom. The characters within the installation represent humankind coming together to face the urgent need to address the global water crisis, highlighting the essential collaboration between humanity and AI to create a new network of human consciousness.
This interconnection is crucial to collectively address the challenges posed by the water crisis and establish a new order for the planet.
The video installation pays special emphasis to the intrinsic memory of water and explores how AI can effectively convey the importance of this vital element for humanity.
