The winner will have 4 days of residence in the International Studio & Curatorial Program, a sample in Proxyco Gallery, both located in Nueva York, and an exhibition in the CCU Art Hall.
CCU started for the fifth time the application process for its Art Scholarship CCU. This program is aimed at Chilean artists who seek to strengthen their educational background, through an experience that allows them to internationalize their careers. On this occasion, the call addressed to Chilean artists between 30 and 45 years old, will be open from May 7 to August 9, 2019.
The winner of the Art Scholarship CCU 2019 will make an artistic residency in a prestigious place and widely recognized in the national and international art circuit, which for the fifth year will be at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York. He/she will also hold an individual exhibition at the Proxyco international gallery in Manhattan, and a show at the CCU Art Room upon his/her return in Santiago.

At the beginning of September, CCU will announce the results of the call, whose selection committee will be integrated by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage; of El Mercurio newspaper and CCU, among others.
The award ceremony of the scolarship is thought for October and the beginning of the residency in New York for February 2020.
The previous versions, made during 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017, were a valuable experience for the winning artists, Alejandra Prieto, Raimundo Edwards, Andrés Durán and Catalina Bauer respectively. The applications received in the latest versions as well as the appreciation of the scholarship for the national circuit and of Latin American artists in New York, support the reputation of the program and how it has positioned itself as one of the important incentives for the promotion of Chilean artists in the Foreign.
With this scholarship, CCU supports the national and international development of Chilean artists, strengthening their professional training, while disseminating and exposing their work with the aim of acting as a cultural bridge that generates rapprochement and appreciation between society and its managers . “Bringing art to the people” is the philosophy that the company has followed for 25 years and faithful to this approach, CCU has promoted and publicized projects of both prominent artists and young promises.
