The 28th version of the festival that the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile Music Institute organizes is bringing to Santiago fresh Chilean sounds and other renowned ones until November 11th Institute.
Throughout this week until Sunday, November 11, the 28th edition of the UC Contemporary Music Festival is being presented at two points in Santiago, an emblematic festival organized by the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile Institute emerging sounds as to renowned and foreign groupings.

With the aim of promoting and disseminating especially the Chilean musical creation, the festival will count among the national groups with greater experience, participating the Contemporary Ensemble UC, Percussion Group UC, Surkos Quartet and Contemporary Music Company of the University of Chile, which they will walk through ample repertoires: from works for soloists and ensembles, vocal and instrumental, from acoustic to electronic, and from classics of the 20th century to new experimentations.
This version of the UC Contemporary Music Festival also brings three international ensembles of recognized excellence: Ensemble Vertebræ (Mexico / France), LUX: NM (Germany) and Musiques Nouvelles (Belgium), who present the current trends of European music and they give space for collaboration with Chilean interpreters and creators
The concerts are held at the UC Extension Center, Alameda 390, Santiago and the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM), Room A1, Alameda 227, Santiago. All at 19.30 and with free entry.
