“El ser humano y sus dimensiones” arrives at Casa de Lo Matta in technicolor

Artist Daphne Anastassiou, internationally renowned and currently represented by the Collete Dubois Gallery in Paris, will showcase her work in Chile from November 8th to December 2nd .

Over 20 pieces in vibrant colors compose the sample “El ser humano y sus dimensiones” that will be presented at Casas de Lo Matta. The author of the exhibit, Daphne Anastassiou, is a psychologist and an internationally renowned artist for her colorful, vibrant and meaningful work.

Having spent over two dozen years dedicated to painting, on this occasion the artist invites people to venture into a self discovery journey, to realize that we are multidimensional and interconnected beings who are enjoying an Earthly experience, but who have the potential of summoning an endless energy that we have within us.

The multiple colors that Anastassiou employs are an effective way to invite everyone to experience the great inner energy that all people possess.

“We are light… Perhaps today is the moment to acknowledge we are spiritual beings and start living in a more conscious way,”  the artist commented, adding: “Let’s remember that we all are creating beings… we are creating at all times… with out thoughts, our words and our actions. Today is the time to reflect,” and quoting the Buddhist meditation master Sogyal Rinpoche, the celebrated author of the book “The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying,” she points out that: “True spirituality also means being aware of the fact that, if we are independent from everything and everyone, even our slightest and most insignificant thought, words or actions have real consequences in the entire universe.”

And with this thought she prompts the following reflection:

“What world are we creating?

Let’s take responsibility through our freedom!”

Anastassiou’s experiences and career as a psychologist merge into a single story that’s present in her work. A must-go exhibition, colorful and spring-like, with paintings and sculptures by an artist that was born in Valparaiso and who has lived creativity and art ever since she was a child. She is person who knows and understands the world from its very roots in Greek culture and who, through her experience as a transpersonal psychologist, delivers a new recipe for personal development with her work, allowing to acknowledge that people are multidimensional and interconnected beings.

Daphne Anastassiou has been fully dedicated to painting since 2006. She uses a myriad of materials like oil, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, and canvases, wood, paper and even cardboard as supports.
