Cuerpos, labios y realidades en la obra de Claire Becker

In Claire Becker’s sculptures and installations, forms, bodies, and thick-lip mouth invite to stop, observe, and find if behind her works is something hidden. What people, gestures, and histories are jumbled in her creations. What intention is behind her designs, in the variety of her faces that are never the same, in the attractive of the textures the she uses, which provokes a touch desire.

Materials that Becker uses are varied. From the use of resin with human hair to wood and pieces of glass are that allow Becker to achieve the detail preparation that for one second makes forget that what is being seen doesn’t have life. Where that six-month-pregnant María seems was real. Claire Becker has this ability: the ability of playing between the real and dream world.
